Bonswa Tout Moun in creole means “Good Evening Everyone”
School has been going well for all our new students. Here are some preschoolers at Mission of Hope International.
Since school opened September 5th, we have had 3 new sponsored children to start school. This is now a total of 50 children sponsored through TOHH!! In January of 2016, we set a goal to have 50 children sponsored by the end of 2016. We are so thankful to see this goal reached well before 2016 is over. We have 22 children currently on our website up for sponsorship and we are working on adding more children. Our community is thriving and we see the HOPE that is rising in the hearts of these Haitian families. Thank you to all our TOHH partners, it couldn’t be possible without you! It’s our joy to do what we do!
Many sponsors are willing to help in so many ways. Not only do they give to pay for their child to go to school but we have had sponsors contact us and ask how they can help out in other ways. This week we had a sponsor purchase a mattress and box spring to help give her child a good night sleep. Here is Lucienne who was sleeping on a wooden board each night and now thanks to her sponsor can sleep on a soft mattress each night! Having a good night sleep not only helps your body rest but makes you more alert and ready to learn. Thank you Michelle Overton!
A very BIG thank you to everyone who came out to the Christian Festival in Orange, MA. TOHH had a booth set up selling T-shirts, calendars and Haitian art. It was great to share about our projects and how people can get involved. Representing TOHH was Dean Boudreau, Cassandra Celemente and Jon and Janelle Vitello.
Every Saturday from the Haiti side we share information about a child that is in need of a sponsor. Meet a 15-year-old boy named Michelson! His nickname is Ledindon.
He has two sisters and five brothers! Michelson lives in the village of Icondo with his dad, one brother and two sisters. They live in a cement home with two rooms and two beds that they rent. Both his mother and father are unemployed. Each day, Michelson helps his family by carrying two buckets of water. This year, he hopes to continue his education going into eighth grade! He loves learning, and his favorite subject is science, especially biology. He also likes to play soccer, sing, and write poetry! When he grows up, he hopes to be an engineer! Michelson is a very smart boy, and now is a crucial time for him to continue his education. If you are interested in sponsoring Michelson today, follow this link: https://www.purecharity.com/michelson-carries or email tohhsponsorship@gmail.com! #childsponsorship #haiti#everychild
Every child matter to God and we have made it our mission to help these children in whatever way we can. Thank you for partnering with us to make the difference, to fight poverty and give the hope of Jesus through education.
Have a great week and God bless you all.
